World Famous Langlois

A Great Bit of Langlois History

Visit the World Famous Langlois website to read the latest article, A Short History of Langlois, Oregon Grocers by Bonnie Jensen Cox.

Bonnie is a local author who wrote several books about the history of Langlois: School Evolution, A Study of Southern Coos and Northern Curry School Origins, and The Story Behind the Treble Clef (Family Roots in Denmark, Oregon). Both books are available for sale or check out at the Langlois Public Library.

The article is extremely well written and very interesting. It includes wonderful historical images and the information ranges from early ventures in 1889 to present day. You won't be disappointed.

The Langlois Market remains a landmark known for their World Famous Hot Dogs, as well as varied services and products.
